On 29th April 2023, Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science of the K.K.W.I.E.E.R, Nashik organized “CELESTRA 2k23”, a Inter-College Level Competition under Phoenix Club. The motive stated by the event organizers was to promote a camaraderie among the students of different colleges and help them gain the survival skills in the ever changing dynamic industry. The judges invited for the event were experienced industry professionals with more than 10+ year experience in the industry. The event was inaugurated by the Head of Department Prof. Dr. S. S. Sane along with the distinguished guests. While speaking to the gathered students and participants, he expressed his satisfaction towards the progress of the students and also highlighted the opportunities the field provided. The guests invited for the event were Ms. Shilpa Shetty, Manager at Datamatics Bupa, Nashik, Mr. Anup Junagade, Sr. Software Engineer at Groupon India and Mr. Ganesh Jadhav, Software Quality Analyst at Kelton Tech India. The inaugural event was the Debate Competition, The Tech Nexus : Symposium of Intellectual Exchange. A total of 12 teams participated in 2 round, which saw the finalist drawn out. The competition also witnessed some of the most exciting and promising debates. The presiding judges, Ms. Indu Seethannathan and Ms Shilpa Shetty greatly appreciated the students, heaping praises on some. Overall it was a great competition. The finalists were awarded the first and second prize of Rs.1500/- and Rs.750/- respectively.
The second event that was organized under “CELESTRA 2k23” was The Pixel Perfect : A UI Design Competition, dubbed as the most successful of all the events organized under “CELESTRA 2k23”. A total of 14 teams participated, each team had around 2 members. The presiding judge, Mr. Anup Junagade was extremely pleased by the creativity of the students. He appreciated the creativeness citing it need in the dynamic industry. The first and second positions in the competition won Rs.1500/- and Rs.750/- respectively. The judge also expressed his satisfaction on the successful completion of the event, the professionalism of the volunteers and the organizing committee.
The third event was The Brainwave Blitz : Presenting Innovative Ideas, were the students presented their presentations and shortfilms infusing innovativeness to the already existing problems. The presiding judge Mr. Ganesh Jadhav was greatly impressed by the innovativeness of the students and their ideas for the problems. A total of 6 teams participated, each with 2 members each. The first and second prize of Rs.1500/- and Rs.750/- respectively for the students. The judge also expressed his satisfaction with the students, volunteers and the organising committee for its professionalism. The event ended with the prize distribution ceremony were the winners were felicitated by the HOD, Sane Sir.
