Vision

Imparting quality education in civil engineering to meet the needs of the industry and society.

Mission

To develop Civil Engineers having knowledge, attitude and skills for planning, designing and execution of construction project with quality and economy.
To develop Civil Engineering department as a research and development center for solving the problems of industry and society.
To provide testing and consultancy services in Civil Engineering for improvement of industry-institute interaction and continuous improvement of academics to meet the needs of industry.

PEO 1

To develop the professional skills, team work and self-employment culture among the engineering graduates.

PEO 2

To develop the professional approach among civil engineering graduates for analysis, design and construction of technically sound, economically feasible civil engineering works.

To acquire excellence in civil engineering education, research and professional practices.

Program Specific Outcomes

PSO 1

Plan, analyze, design and prepare drawings of various civil engineering projects as per the needs of an individual and society for sustainable development.

PSO 2

Prepare estimates, cost economics and project management schedule of the civil engineering projects and carry out construction as per design, specifications and drawings.

Program Outcomes (POs)

PO 1

Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

PO 2

Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO 3

Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO 4

Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis & interpretation of data and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO 5

Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.

PO 6

The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

PO 7

Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.

Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with t h e society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.

Keeping this view, the laboratory facilities at KKWIEE&R, Nashik, are very good and provide quality equipment’s to the students. The laboratory practices include industry exposure to students. Testing and Consultancy Cell of the department of Civil Engineering is working with aim to provide quality service for technical problems & provide Material testing and Design, as a service to industry and society. Institute helps in improving technical skills by arranging workshops for staff and students. I am very happy to be associated with K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education and Research, Nashik.
