Student branch of CSI

The student branch of CSI was established in the year 1995-96 and is one of the most vibrant student branches in Maharashtra & Goa. The branch secured “Best Student Branch” award seven times. Currently Dr. Y. D. Bhise is working as the student branch coordinator. The student branch conducts various activities such as seminars, workshops, mini project competitions, industrial visit, etc. It conducts events like “Campus to Corporate” to make students industry ready. It contributes to society by “E-Yantran”- a mega E-waste collection drive.

Krushna Raosaheb Siraskar from BE Computer Engineering Division B (2024-2025 batch) got an internship with the US-based company PhysicianXpress, Inc., located in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. This opportunity was facilitated by Mr. Vijay Agarwal, an alumnus from the 1990 batch and a partner at the company. Krushna worked part-time for one month on Java,the company owner appreciated his work and awarded him a stipend of 100 dollars (approximately 8,300 INR).

Felicitation of students and parents placed in Tech Mahindra Students

The team of third year and last year computer Engg. Students SANJITA JAIN (TE Comp.), PUSHKAR NIKUMB (BE Comp.), SANKET SHIRSATH (BE Comp.), SAMYAK LAHIRE (TE Comp.) won 2nd Prize of Rs 52,000/- and certificates at CertiTech Competition Conducted by at IIT Bombay during Techfest from 27th to 29th December 23.

Team AGARTAS from Dept.of AIDS & Computer Engg., KWIEER Secured 1st Prize in Smart India Hackathon-23 Hardware Category held at Chennai with cash prize Rs. 1 Lakh from 19th to 23rd December 2023.

Team Catalyst of final year computer students won 2nd prize of Rs. 1 Lakh in the “InnovateYou” a National level hackathon conducted by AISSMS PUNE.

Project title "EVIDENCE SHEILD: Blockchain and IPFS-Based Evidence Protection System for Safeguarding Women's Rights" by final year students received Second prize at the Dipex 24 , State Level Project competition, Organised by ABVP & Srijan Foundation for Maharashtra & Goa Region

Students of final year Computer Engineering Rucha Chaudhary and Om Patil secured First Prize under the guidance of Prof. Priya Rakibe in the National level project competition organized by Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering(MPSTME-NMIMS), Mumbai.

Student and Faculty team Rimzim Chark(TE Comp), Sakshi Pawar(BE Comp),Jai Shah(BE Chem), Parimal Thakre(BE Comp), Jayesh Gawali(BE Comp), Prof. Priya Rakibe received Best Paper Award in the International Conference on Gender quality & Women Empowerment

Yash Mahale, BE Computer Engg. student had the privilege of working with ABB as part of team Gyansanchit on the "Tantra Nayate Digital Tracking Website" project for the ABB Project Competition and won the 1st prize.

Sakshi Pawar, Jayesh Gawali, Prathamesh Gadilohar, Atharva Chaudhari TE Computer Engineering students received First Prize with Cash prize Rs.5000/- organized by Builder's Association of India in association with MVP's RSM Poly. Nashik on the topic "Waste to Wealth".

Total 74 computer engineering students completed AWS Academy Cloud Foundation Course. Total 132 computer engineering students completed Cyber Shikshaa Programme an initiate of DSCI and Microsoft.

  • Prof.Priya Rakibe has been appreciated for valuable contribution as a mentor in Kavach 2023,Cyber Security Hackathon organized by MoE'sInnovation Cell, AICTE along with Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D)(MHA) and Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C)(MHA) at Greater Noida.
