Computer Engineering

HOD's Message,

B.Tech Computer Engineering is a comprehensive four year full time undergraduate program with an intake of 120. The program has been designed as per guidelines of NEP-2020 policy and Maharashtra State GR dated 4th July 2023 with effect from the AY 2023-24. The National Education Policy (NEP) promotes multidisciplinary education, allowing students to take courses across different domains. The program emphasizes skill-based learning, internships, and industry collaboration to enhance employability. The curriculum integrates LMS for interactive e-learning, 24/7 access to resources.

B.Tech Computer Engineering is offered by the department of Computer Engineering which was established in 1984. The department is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and accredited by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation), New Delhi. The department has state of the art laboratories, equipped with software and hardware resources, instruction halls and tutorial rooms. Department has a blend of experienced and young faculty members. Department runs students club known as Debugger’s club and students are also member of student chapter of professional bodies

The department takes pride in having 40 SPPU University top rankers since 2018 reflecting its commitment to quality education and student success. Ms. Jadhav Mayuri Janardan (Year 2022), with a SGPA of 9.73, received a gold medal for securing the 1st rank in the university merit list of computer engineering for the second year and Mr. Bhandary Suhaan Ramdas( Year 2021), with a SGPA of 10, secured the 1st rank in the university merit list for the first year. Ms. Kaklij Tanuja Baliram (Year 2023), with a CGPA of 9.77, secured the 8th rank in the university merit list across all branches for the final year.

Students are encouraged to participate in various university, state, national and international level events and competitions. Students have secured the first prize for the last three consecutive years, along with a trophy and a cash award of one lakh rupees in Smart India Hackathon, one of the world’s largest open innovation competitions.

Students are placed in renowned companies like NVIDIA, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, TIAA, FinIQ, Persistent, Druva, JOSH Software etc. The highest package received is 19 LPA. Ms. Rutuja Hujare got selected as an intern in Microsoft .
