ISF (IETE Student Forum)

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India’s leading recognised professional society devoted to the advancement of science and technology of electronics, telecommunication & IT, founded in 1953. The IETE is the national apex professional body of electronics and telecommunication, computer science and IT professionals. E & TC department of K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education & Research, Nashik has formed ISF (IETE Student Forum) under which various activities are conducted in collaboration with IETE.

  • ISF (IETE Student Forum) of K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education & Research, Nashik has been awarded Best ISF Award-III in the West Zone for the session 2023-24.
  • The department runs the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Career Development Cell, and organizes various skill development programs in collaboration with IETE.
  • “Telekinesis,” a technical symposium, is annually organized in collaboration with IETE. Students from various institutes participate in various technical and non-technical events conducted under the same.

ISF Activities

Students Association of Electronic Engineers (SAEE)

SAEE is the Students Association of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineers of K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education & Research, Nashik which plans and organizes various guest lectures and workshops for the benefit of students. The governing body is formed by students. Various posts of the SAEE committee are selected from E & TC department students. Staff advisor is allotted to guide SAEE committee students.

The objectives of SAEE are:

  • To bridge the gap between industry needs and university syllabus.
  • To prepare graduates with the technical and managerial skills necessary to enter the practical E & TC world.
  • To exercise excellent leadership qualities in a responsive, ethical, and innovative manner.
  • Organize lectures and workshops involving all concerned professionals, students, and industry associations.

The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE)

The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the leading National Professional non-profit making Society with the motto of Career Development of Teachers and Personality Development of Students and overall development of our Technical Education System. K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education and Research, Nashik has ISTE students’ chapter since 2003. It is one of the most active chapters of the institute.

This Chapter organizes various events for overall development of the students. It organizes technical as well as social activities and other events which provide a good platform for the student’s to display their talents and develop various skills.

Computer Society of India (CSI)

The seed for the Computer Society of India (CSI) was first sown in the year 1965 with a handful of IT enthusiasts who were a computer user group and felt the need to organize their activities. They also wanted to share their knowledge and exchange ideas on what they felt were a fast emerging sector.

Today the CSI takes pride in being the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT professionals in India. The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science and IT.

The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE today has over 28,780 HVAC&R professionals and Student-members. ISHRAE operates from over 55 Chapters and sub Chapters spread all over India, with HQ in Delhi. K. K Wagh student chapter is installed for the academic year 2023-24.

ISHRAE Objectives

  • Advancement of the Arts and Sciences of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering and Related Services.
  • Continuing education of Members and other interested persons in the said sciences through Lectures, Workshops, Product Presentations, Publications and Expositions.
  • Rendition of career guidance and financial assistance to students of the said sciences.
  • Encouragement of scientific research.

Institution of Engineers (India)

The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is the largest multi-disciplinary professional body of engineers, established in 1920 with its Headquarters located in Kolkata and incorporated under Royal Charter on 9th September, 1935 by the then His Majesty of King George V. The Royal Charter endowed the Institution with the responsibility to promote the general advancement of engineering amongst its members and persons attached to the Institution. After Independence, the Institution is a “Body Corporate” protected under Article 372 of the Constitution of India. The Institution of Engineers (India) is administered by a National Council with the President as its Head.

The student’s chapter is being constituted for initiating and imbibing the feeling of belongingness into fraternity of engineering to which the students of engineering are destined. This chapter provides a platform to showcase the talent of the students. It also helps to enrich their knowledge and skills by organizing lectures, seminar, technical discussions and industry visits.
