It was established in 1970 by the visionary leader Late Padma Shri Karmaveer Kakasaheb Wagh. He realized the importance of education for the upliftment of rural masses and started with a girls' school in Niphad Tehsil.
Earlier he was active in the development of Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj, which has been established as a centre of learning for over 100 years. He was also instrumental in setting up three cooperative sugar factories in the Nashik district. As a leader of farmers, he represented Niphad Tehsil in the state legislative assembly.
K K Wagh Education Society, later on, received 23 acres of land from the well-known Philanthropist, Late Ratansey Haridas Udeshi (Kakuseth) of Hirabai Hansaraj Surji Charitable Trust and was utilized by K K Wagh Education Society to establish an ideal Technical Campus.
This campus is named 'Hirabai Haridas Vidyanagari' in the name of his mother, ‘Hirabai Haridas’.
