Eye, Heart & General Body Checkup Camps
The founder, visionary and Architect of the K K Wagh Education Society, Hon.Late Shri.Balasaheb Wagh followed the principle of Simple Living and High Thinking and had set an example of selfless, dedicated and determined leader and worked for the betterment and upliftment of all sections of the society.
In order to show the gratitude and to pay the tribute to him, K K Wagh Education Society in collaboration with K K Wagh Foundation, Shri.Balasaheb Wagh Welfare Foundation and NGO’s like SMILE and SPINACH had started free checkup camp for the rural masses where modern and well developed medical facilities and expertise are not easily available.
The various parts of human body are very important and vital for survival. An Eyes and heart are being precious and hence needed regular checkup to enjoy various natural and man-made things on the earth.
Keeping this view in the mind, K K Wagh Education Society started free check up camps related to eye, heart and overall general check up for women at 15 various locations in Nashik district particularly for rural people. The camps were taken with the support of doctors team from Manishankar Eye Hospital, NAMCO Hospital, Hrudyaksha Super Specialty Heart Hospital, Saibaba Heart Multispecialty Hospital. In the very first year of its inception nearly 2249 patients of all ages have taken the benefit and many of them underwent for surgery.
The camp at various locations were inaugurated by Hon. Sameer Wagh, Chairman and Mrs. Shankuntala Wagh, Trustee, Hon. Ajinkya Wagh, Director, Public Relations, and also Secretary of SMILE and SPINACH along with many dignitaries from these villages , people in large number, Govt. Officers and Principal of various institutes and camp coordinators were present.
