Disciple of : Guru Mrs.Sanjeevani Kulkarni, Nashik.
Sumukhi has inherited her grace and sense of rhythm from her mother and Guru Mrs.Sanjeevani Kulkarni, under whom she started her lessons at the tender age of 5. Having grown up in the atmosphere of dance and music, this has come naturally to her.
From her early childhood, Sumukhi showed promise and potential, and has grown up to become a fine dancer. She has developed into a strikingly graceful and has an expressive style of her own.
Sumukhi is a Kathak Visharad (First Class) and Alankar (First Class). Also, Sumukhi has completed her graduation in Commerce (B.Com) from University of Pune. She has completed M.A. In Kathak in 2012 and is the University Topper. Recently, She has completed her PhD in Kathak dance, under the able guidance of Dr.Mrs Manjiri Shreeram Deo.
Recently she has been appointed as advisory committee member of Censor Board,Mumbai.
She is working as a Lecturer in Kathak dance at KK Wagh College of Performing Arts. She is also director of Kalanand Kathak Nritya Sanstha Nashik.
