I am Tushar Baburao Sonawane, working in Schneider Electric as a ‘Project Leader’ for low voltage (LV) switchgear design and project management function handling projects in the Europe region. I have graduated from the K. K. Wagh College of Engineering, Nashik in 2005 pursued Electrical Engineering. I have worked in companies like EPCOS, Nashik (4.5 years), ABB India Ltd. Nashik (7.5 years) and currently in Schneider Electric, Bangalore (for the last 2 years). I have a total 14 years of experience in the field of Design, Project management, and process engineering. When I got admitted in K. K. Wagh College of Engineering, I was knowing that I was in one of the best Engineering College, that we have across the country and predicted my future, especially in Electrical department under the guidance of Dr. Kushare, Prof. Jain, Prof. Mrs. Date, Prof. Sachin Wagh. This initial assumption went the same way as per expectation that has benefited me during professional life.
During college life, I have gained so much knowledge theoretically as well as practically handling various tasks given by the respected teachers who taught us in-depth syllabus and concentrated on building our bright future in the right direction. I have also played a role during the project/science exhibitions held during the degree period. Teachers in the college always had a dedicated mission to make us successful in our future life, which is the best part of the Electrical department.
I still remember apart from the study, we have been motivated by taking part in the social activities, college gatherings and outings/trips which was like a cherry on the cake. I felt the teachers as our friends who stood by us in every situation when we needed it. Thank you for all. I would like to give a message to the students graduating from the college that, just keep in mind that you are graduating from one of the best college and departments, and this will help you in gaining maximum opportunities in the competitive world ahead. Stick to the basics, stay focused and set up the life goals that you want to achieve in the future. Just represents yourself honestly the same way you performed during the college days and then the sky is limit for you. Keep in touch with the teachers as they will be your all-time mentors.
